Scarlet is a pretty mare, built well with great color. In the winter, she has a very pretty bay coat with white over withers, rump, shoulders, flanks. In the summer, she is more roan. Black legs with three white bands and a sock. Interrupted blaze. Black mane and tail. She is 10 years old. I purchased this mare for my lesson program with the understanding that she was child broke. She was very green and really is just not what I was looking for. I have been riding and working her for the past year. She rides mainly in a hackamore but goes fine in a loose ring snaffle as well. I have ridden this mare english, western, and bareback with no issues. She has no problem carrying my 50lb western saddle and myself (about 130lbs). Will go on trail rides or ride in an arena. I have used a great deal of Clinton Anderson techniques with her and she has responded very well. This mare is not a finished horse and I personally would not put a completely inexperienced rider on her. But with a little work she would be a very nice show pony. She will stand to be groomed, bathed, and for the farrier with no issues. Will lunge and tack up fine. She is up to date on vaccines and worming and has a current negative coggins. Scarlet is a very easy keeper. She stays healthy and happy eating only hay or grass all year long and has tough hooves that allow her to stay barefoot. I really have enjoyed this horse but she is simply not what I am looking for for my lesson program. Please feel free to call me at 706. .830. .3403.. Price negotiable to the right home.
