MC Horsemanship in Affiliation with Southern Springs offers you a chance to learn more about horses and ride one!!!

$25/Person per Day for Lessons
$15.00/Person for Hand-Led Ride, Trail Ride, or Birthday Party

ALL AGES, ADULTS TOO!

Camping:

Bring your tent, a sleeping bag, an extra set of clothes, and some extra snacks and drinks. We would love for you to join us in an overnight camp including a campfire with lots of marshmallow roasting, stories, and night riding in the sensor lit arena. If you need a shower there is a shower down in the big barn. Camps are every Friday and some Saturdays nights out of the month. Please call and make an appointment with us to make sure we are going to camp the night you plan to come out.

TRAIL RIDING:

HAVE YOU EVER WANTED TO GO HORSEBACK RIDING, BUT DIDN'T KNOW WHERE TO GO? DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO RIDE? OR PERHAPS YOU HAVE YOUR OWN HORSES BUT DON'T HAVE ROOM IN YOUR BACK YARD TO RIDE. LOOK NO FURTHER THAN SOUTHERN SPRINGS EQUINE SERVICES, LLC IN AUBURN, AL. WE HAVE BEAUTIFUL TRAILS, A POND, A CREEK, A CROSS COUNTRY COURSE, 2 ROUND PENS, AND 3 ARENAS FOR YOU TO FULFILL YOUR HORSE RIDING NEEDS. INSTEAD OF EXPLORING ON FOOT, CLIMB ON UP IN THE SADDLE AND GO FOR A RIDE WITH US!

TRAIL RIDES ARE HELD EVERY OTHER FRIDAY AND SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH! WE ALSO HOLD SEVERAL TRAIL RIDES DURING SPRING, SUMMER, & FALL BREAKS, HOLIDAYS, ETC. PLEASE RESERVE YOUR RIDE WITH MC HORSEMANSHIP BY CALLING THE NUMBER ON THE CONTACT PAGE. HURRY THE HORSES WILL FIND RIDERS FAST.

YOU WILL BE TREATED TO A GUIDED HORSE BACK TRAIL RIDE THROUGH THE FARM'S FORREST. DON'T BE AFRAID. WE WILL MATCH YOU WITH THE RIGHT HORSE, THE RIGHT TRAIL, AND PROVIDE RIDING TIPS AND LESSONS. JUST REMEMBER TO RELAX, BE CONFIDENT IN YOURSELF, AND REMEMBER YOU ARE HERE TO HAVE FUN NOT BE PERFECT.

WE HOLD A PARADE TRAIL RIDE IN CELEBRATION OF MOST HOLIDAYS AND BIRTHDAYS!!! WHAT JOY THESE PARADES WILL BRING!!! FIND YOUR ARTISTIC SIDE BY DECORATING YOUR HORSE FOR THE PARADE THAT STARTS AND ENDS IN THE ARENA, FOLLOW THE ENTIRE TRAIL WITH YOUR BEAUTIFUL CREATIVITY HANGING FROM YOUR HORSE'S MANE, TAIL, ROPE BOSAL, BRIDLE, REINS, BLANKET, AND SADDLE. THE LIST OF PAINTS, RIBBONS, LEATHER, FEATHERS, BEADS, JEWELS, AND OTHER ITEMS YOU CAN USE IN DECORATING OUR HORSE GOES ON & ON->

FOR PLEASANT RIDING, WE SUGGEST THE FOLLOWING:

Ω WEAR BOOTS OR SHOES THAT PROTECT YOUR ANKLES
Ω WEAR COMFORTABLY LOOSE JEANS OR OTHER LONG PANTS
Ω WEAR A T-SHIRT OR TANK TOP OR A LONG SLEEVED IN THE WARMER MONTHS AND,LIGHTWEIGHT SHIRT IN THE COOLER MONTHS
Ω WEAR A GOOD-FITTING CAP OR HAT FOR SUN PROTECTION
Ω BRING SUNSCREEN
Ω BRING INSECT REPELLENT
Ω BE PREPARED FOR A CHANGE IN WEATHER
Ω BRING POWERADE, GATORADE, OR WATER ESPECIALLY ON WARMER DAYS
Ω BRING A POCKET KNIFE FOR EMERGENCIES
Ω BRING TRAIL MIX OR A LIGHT SNACK

IF YOU WANT TO RIDE IN THE TRAIL RIDE, PLEASE CALL MC HORSEMANSHIP TO MAKE A RIDING APPOINTMENT. PLEASE BE AT THE STABLES 30 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR SCHEDULED RIDING TIME. IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO MAKE IT TO YOUR RIDE THEN PLEASE CALL AND CANCEL SO YOUR HORSE DOESN'T FIND A NEW RIDER.

LEASING:

MC Horsemanship lease horses to people who love horses but don't have the money to buy one. We have several mares and geldings. Give us a call and make an appointment to ride the day you want to come out. We are very flexible with our schedules. Choose your horse below. Please check back with us frequently to see if we have any new horses available for lease.

LEASE WITH FULL-CARE BOARD:

MC Horsemanship's Lease and Full Boarding plan for only $400.00 per horse per month includes:

1.Lease one of OUR horses to ride anytime you want. We must be at barn for you to ride so call before you come out.
2.We will turn leased horse(s) out in a pasture or paddock during daylight hours
3.We will groom and pick-out leased horse(s) hooves at least once a day
4.We will provide grain to leased horse(s)2-3 per day weighed out at 0.5-1.0 lbs of feed per 100 lbs of body weight
5.We will feed leased horse supplements that you provide daily
6.We will water leased horse(s) daily
7.We will check the health of leased horse(s) daily
8.We will administer any needed medical treatment
9.We will clean the stall of leased horse(s) 2-3 times daily and add Fresh Shavings when needed
10.Timothy/Orchard and/or Costal Bermuda Grass (Excellent Quality Hay) wieghed out at 2.0-5.0 lbs per 100 lbs of body weight will be provided to leased horse at least 3-4 times a day

***MC Horsemanship will make sure leased horse(s) has/have plenty of fresh water, hay, and mineral/salt lick blocks available at all times to prevent dehydration, boredom, cribbing, stall vices, and other potential problems.

HALF-LEASE WITH FULL-CARE BOARD:

MC Horsemanship's Lease and Full Boarding plan for only $200.00 per horse per month includes:

1.Lease one of OUR horses to ride on the weekends only. We must be at barn for you to ride so call before you come out.
2.We will turn leased horse(s) out in a pasture or paddock during daylight hours
3.We will groom and pick-out leased horse(s) hooves at least once a day
4.We will provide grain to leased horse(s)2-3 per day weighed out at 0.5-1.0 lbs of feed per 100 lbs of body weight
5.We will feed leased horse supplements that you provide daily

12/27/11- Ellie (10 year old Quarter Horse/Pony Cross mare 13.1 Hands) Great disposition! Dream horse for kids! Calm, Relaxed, Easy to Ride!

1/3/12- Liberty (5 year old Quarter Horse mare 15 hands) Very Athletic! Absolutely Beautiful Bay! Easy to Ride!

1/25/12- Sugarfoot (23 year old Leopard Appaloosa 14.2 hands) Very good disposition! Easy to Ride! Chanoah's first horse she was gifted when she was eight.
